Stretcher bars

Stretcher bars are used for stretching of canvas. Currently, they are also used while printing photographies on the canvas which are stretched to a frame after printing.

The corner joints of stretcher bars are not glued or fastened in any permanent way. This allows the canvas to be re-tensioned later as it has tendency to stretch and sag over time.

Stretcher bars are produced of spruce wood. Our offer of stretcher bars has range from 20 cm to 200 cm (the lenght rises each 5 cm). The standard package consists of 24 pieces of the same lenght. That is minimal packaging unit.

When the frame is longer than 90 cm we reccomend to use cross braces to fix the frame to avoid the buckling.
